Starting on the north side of the Beartooth Range of southern Montana, down where the parched plains meet the dense forests, the Greater Yellowstone Traverse links many of the ecosystem’s ecological and geological highlights before running out of mountains on the southern tip of the Wind River Range, Wyoming.
